The goal at Twin Soles is to provide you with the best massage / bodywork experience possible. My education and experience is combined with my personal commitment to help you become healthier, with less pain and greater range of motion. I am confident you will feel safe, nurtured and most of all completely satisfied with your session.
I graduated with honors from Seattle Massage School in February 1992 and opened my first office of private practice as a licensed Massage Therapist in Tacoma Washington. In 1995 I graduated from the SOMA Institute of Neuromuscular Integration. Though my massage practice was very successful, by 1997 I was ready to follow my hula dancing heart to the Island of Maui. There I immersed myself in the Hawaiian Healing Arts, Hula, and doing massage at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa.
Of course, the only thing that could get me away from my perfect life on Maui was finding deep love. It found me in 2004 and swept me off my feet to Fair Oaks, California where I began again building a private practice. In 2009 my husband was recruited by Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and we happily moved to the town we were introduced at. We not only found home in each other, we found home in Nevada County. Now, as a widow I am happy about the workings of Karma to get me settled here for my next chapter. The timing of my coming out of temporary retirement with Leia Farrell’s moving out of state made for a smooth transition for both of us. We had been doing bodywork exchanges for the last few years. I loved her space and she knew my work. I purchased her practice in January 2019 and took over in February.
My fascination with life in a body has fueled my interest in continuing education throughout my career. I not only offer Barefoot Ashiatsu I can weave a luxurious treatment from many or a combination of modalities; Lomilomi, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports, Injury care, abdominal massage, myofascial release, trigger point, to name a few.
I'm very passionate about the therapy I offer. I bring my knowledge, compassion and nurturing to every session with the intention to create positive change in the lives of those I am privileged to touch. Please take a look at 'What People Say' and feel free to email or call with questions or to schedule an appointment.
When I’m not at my massage studio I enjoy dancing hula, gardening, medicine making, creating paths and beaches at my creek. I am a biodynamic gardener and alchemist in training. Independent and contemplative, I am comfortable in nature and love to swim, hike and camp. Fascinated by other cultures I love to travel. Though I need solitude to recharge, I enjoy deep connection with others and celebrating life together involving food, music, laughter, dance, ceremony, ritual and good stories.
